What are Chordates?

Chordates are worm like creatures that can grow up to 4 cms long. They have a flexible rod and a nerve cord on their backs, which are very similar to us. Fossils of these creatures are extremely rare, and they swam close to the ocean floor. Many aspects of this organism are still unknown.
